Background Fibrosis is a major cause of loss of renal function in autosomal dominant
polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). In this study, we examined whether vasopressin type-2
receptor (V2R) activity in cystic epithelial cells can stimulate interstitial myofibroblasts and
